Most lists of brake pad manufacturers in China give a company name, a few adjectives and a “contact us” button. They rarely say where the factory is, what it actually makes, which certificates it claims or how small an order it will take. For a distributor or parts store about to send a sample request, that is not enough to build a shortlist of brake pad suppliers.
This guide compares ten brake pad manufacturers in China using only facts each company publishes on its own website. Every company gets the same template: where it is, what it makes, how big it says it is, which certificates it lists, and what you should confirm before ordering. Each entry links to the page the facts came from, and every fact was checked on October 11, 2026.
Disclosure: Top Brake Parts, the publisher of this guide, is one of the ten manufacturers listed. We describe ourselves with the same template and the same rules as everyone else, and we do not rank the list by quality.
Key Takeaways
✓Five of the ten brake pad manufacturers are based in Shandong province, China’s largest cluster for friction materials.
✓Published scale ranges from a 60-person plant to groups that state 18 to 30 million sets of brake pads per year.
✓Only four of the ten publish a minimum order quantity, and only two publish a rule for mixed orders.
✓All certificates in this guide are company-stated. Check the issuer, scope and expiry, and remember that ECE R90 is issued per part number, not per company.
01
How We Selected These Brake Pad Manufacturers
We started from the brake pad companies that AI search tools and B2B buyer guides mention most often for US aftermarket sourcing, then checked each one against five public criteria:
- Manufacturing base: a published factory address in China, or a clearly stated production setup.
- Product range: brake pads at minimum; we also record whether the company makes brake rotors (discs) and brake shoes.
- Published certifications: quality-system and product certificates named on the company’s own site.
- Export experience: a stated export footprint, ideally including North America.
- Consistent facts: the company’s own pages must agree with each other on founding year, scale and staff.
How We Checked These Facts
We reviewed 20 China-based brake manufacturers and read at least two official pages for each. Ten failed: six because their own pages gave conflicting figures for founding year, capacity or staff, two because they publish an office address but no factory, and two because their websites could not be loaded securely. From the remaining companies we selected nine, plus our own factory.
Facts marked as “states” or “lists” are what the company says about itself. Where a fact can also be checked in a public record, such as a stock-exchange listing or a CNAS accreditation number, we say so.
The list is grouped by the type of buyer each manufacturer suits best. Within each group, companies appear in alphabetical order. The numbers are for navigation only; they are not a ranking.

Brake Pad Manufacturers in China at a Glance
“Not published” means we could not find the figure on the company’s website on the check date. It does not mean the company has no MOQ; it means you will need to ask.

Which Manufacturers Cover Pads, Rotors and Shoes in One Order?
Buying pads, rotors and shoes from one manufacturer means one supplier audit, one quality file and one container, and fewer empty slots on the shelf while a second supplier catches up. Here is how the ten brake pad manufacturers above compare on that point.
Manufacturers That List All Three Categories
Five manufacturers on this list publish brake pads, rotors (discs) and brake shoes
- Gold Phoenix: covers all three at the largest published scale, 30 million sets of pads and shoes and 6 million discs per year.
- Pujie: adds brake drums and covers both passenger-car and commercial-vehicle applications from one plant.
- Sensitive Brake: adds brake drums, CV pads and linings, hardware kits and sensors.
- Top Brake Parts: makes all three categories in-house in one plant in Qingyuan.
- GDST: offers all three as part of a wider one-stop range, partly through cooperative factories.
Manufacturers With a Published Mixed-Order Rule
Only two manufacturers publish a rule for mixing part numbers in one order, and two more publish a minimum without a mixing rule
- Jinli: mixed brake pad orders at 50 sets per model and 1,000 sets per order; the range is pads only.
- Top Brake Parts: mixed orders from 100 sets across pads, rotors and shoes.
- Sensitive Brake: a 2,000-set order minimum, with 50 sets per pad model; no published mixing rule.
- GDST: 100 pieces per model; no published mixing rule.
Specialists to Pair With a Second Supplier
These manufacturers are strong in one area but will not fill every brake category on their own, so plan a second source for the missing categories
- Winhere: pads, discs and drums; brake shoes are not listed.
- Baiyun: passenger-car and commercial-vehicle pads and drum linings; rotors and shoes are not listed.
- Freefly: commercial-vehicle pads, linings and shoes only; no rotors or passenger-car pads.
- Jinli: brake pads only; rotors and shoes are not listed.
- Zohama: brake pads with clutch discs and filters; discs and shoes are not listed.
Four Questions to Ask Before a Mixed Order
Does the minimum apply per part number or per order? A 100-set order minimum and a 100-set per-model minimum lead to very different first orders.
Can different categories share cartons and pallets? Mixed pallets keep freight costs down when each part number ships in small quantities.
Can labels and boxes follow one packaging standard? One label format across pads, rotors and shoes saves time at your receiving dock and on the shelf.
Can samples for all categories ship together? One sample shipment lets you test fitment across the whole order before you commit.
For how mixed brake orders work in practice for parts stores, see our auto parts store brake supply program.
05
What to Check Before Contacting a Manufacturer
A shortlist built from published facts still needs verification.
Five checks catch most problems before the first purchase order
- Read every certificate for the issuing body, scope and expiry date. IATF 16949 certificates can be checked through the IATF Global Oversight database.
- For pads sold in the US, ask for the AMECA registration and the edge code printed on the pad, and compare it with AMECA’s brake friction certification program.
- Ask for the ECE R90 approval number for each part number you plan to buy. R90 approves a pad for specific applications, not the factory as a whole.
- Request dynamometer and noise (NVH) test reports for the friction formulas on your order.
- Order samples across several part numbers before the first purchase order, and inspect them against your own checklist.

To see how these checks look on a production floor, read our brake parts quality inspection process.

Frequently Asked Questions About Brake Pad Manufacturers
Who are the largest brake pad manufacturers in China?
By published capacity, the largest on this list are Gold Phoenix, which states 30 million sets of brake pads and shoes per year and is listed in Shanghai, Jinli at 18 million+ sets, and Winhere at 10 million sets of pads plus 55 million rotors and drums. All figures are company-stated.
What certifications should a brake pad manufacturer have?
Look for IATF 16949 for the quality system, ECE R90 approvals for the specific part numbers you will sell in markets that require them, and AMECA registration with an edge code for pads sold in US states with brake friction rules. Always check the issuer and expiry date.
What is a typical MOQ for wholesale brake pads?
Among the four manufacturers here that publish a figure, minimums run from 50 sets per model to 100 sets per mixed order for wholesale brake pads. Jinli states 50 sets per model, Sensitive Brake 50 sets per model with a 2,000-set order, GDST 100 pieces per model, and Top Brake Parts 100 sets for mixed orders.
Can I mix brake pad, rotor and shoe SKUs in one order?
Yes, if the manufacturer makes all three categories. Gold Phoenix, Pujie, Sensitive Brake, GDST and Top Brake Parts list pads, rotors and shoes. Only Jinli and Top Brake Parts publish a mixed-order rule, so confirm the rule in writing with the others.
How long is the lead time from a Chinese brake pad factory?
Published lead times on this list range from about 25–35 days at Top Brake Parts to 30–45 days at GDST and up to 60 days at Sensitive Brake, while Freefly states about one month. Samples typically ship faster; Jinli states about 7 working days.
